Just the Facts, 'Bama

In view of President Obama's recent declaration that his administration's policy shall be: " scientific policy based on facts, not ideology" (which is of course patently false...it's nigh on impossible to form policy or conduct research without ideology at the very least guiding its direction... that very phrase itself reeks of ideology), I have decided to forgo my policy of posting items on older news, and instead post this. Here are a few facts for Mr. Obama:


FACT: The textbook, and the Doctor quoted below, both indicate that life begins at conception:
The Developing Human: Clinically Oriented Embryology

"Zygote: this cell results from the union of an oocyte and a sperm. A zygote is the beginning of a new human being (i.e., an embryo). Human development begins at fertilization… This highly specialized, totipotent cell marks the beginning of each of us as a unique individual."

Dr. Hymie Gordon (Mayo Clinic):
"By all criteria of modern molecular biology, life is present from the moment of conception."

And I have more textbooks and doctors I can quote as well.

FACT: California state law defines murder as such: (And I don't think other State laws differ that much from California's).

FACT: Abortion should more properly be called genocide. (Note: I am NOT saying that anyone that supports abortion is racist... just trying to associate abortion with racism).

This incidence of abortion has resulted in a tremendous loss of life. It has been estimated that since 1973 Black women have had about 16 million abortions. Michael Novak had calculated "Since the number of current living Blacks (in the U.S.) is 36 million, the missing 16 million represents an enormous loss, for without abortion, America's Black community would now number 52 million persons. It would be 36 percent larger than it is. Abortion has swept through the Black community like a scythe, cutting down every fourth member."

Somehow I just know Obama's going to conveniently ignore these facts when crafting his ESR/Abortion policy.

One side note on Embryonic Stem-Cell Research: If it's so darned "promising", where's the private/state funding? Helloooo.... if it truly had any merit they would have private and/or state funding up the wazoo. It's just not promising enough to elicit private funding... which suggests a waste of Government dollars, when/if it is decided to fund it with Federal dollars.

(Of course, John Maynard Keynes said that [Government] money wouldn't be wasted even if they were "digging holes in the ground and filling them in", so I guess that's ok).
